LG has big plans for 2024, with a lineup of brand-new OLED monitors on the horizon. One of the most intriguing offerings is the 32GS95UE, sporting a 4K panel and a 32-inch screen size.
But what sets this screen apart is LG’s innovative Dual-Hz technology. With a simple press of a button on the monitor, you can switch it from a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels at a refresh rate of 240 Hz to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels at a whopping 480 Hz.
This mode isn’t just a gimmick; it’s tailor-made for esports and fast-paced gaming. OLED tech is already known for its speed, and coupling that with a 480 Hz refresh rate could be a game-changer in the gaming world. LG’s monitor is among the pioneers to combine OLED with a refresh rate exceeding 240 Hz.
But LG isn’t stopping there. They’re also planning to release two other panels in 34 and 39-inch sizes, both in a 21:9 aspect ratio. The Ultragear OLED 34GS95QE and 39GS95QE will feature a heavily curved OLED panel, running at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with a max refresh rate of 240 Hz.
Expanding their range, LG is introducing more variety in the 21:9 display realm. The two 21:9 monitors will come with stands that allow swiveling and tilting, while the 32-inch one can even be used in portrait orientation by rotating it 90 degrees. Each of these models will pack two HDMI 2.1 ports and a DisplayPort 1.4 connection.
Despite the buzz, LG hasn’t spilled the beans on the prices or release dates for these new OLED monitors. They’ve also hinted at two additional 45-inch panels in the 21:9 format, touting improved OLED panels, though the resolution remains at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. These specs are in line with what we’ve seen in earlier models like the LG Ultragear 45GR95QE and the Corsair Xeneon Flex.
