Zendure, the manufacturer, has unveiled a new model of solar panel. Unlike the company’s previous panels, this new one is bendable, making it easier to use in specific situations. Weighing 4.5 kilograms, it’s significantly lighter than other solar panels of similar capacity.

Thanks to its flexibility, these new solar panels can be installed more conveniently in space-saving ways, such as on curved balconies for use in balcony power systems. Additionally, due to their lightweight design, they can be easily attached to vehicles, like the front roof of a camper van.

According to Zendure, the panels can bend up to 213 degrees and feature holes along the edges for easy mounting, for instance, on a balcony railing. Although these panels provide lower power output at 210 watts, their reduced weight should make them easier to install compared to larger panels. Zendure notes their thickness at 0.1 inches, approximately 2.5 millimeters.

Standard Efficiency Level

Protected by an IP67 rating, these solar collectors are shielded from water and dust. Their efficiency stands at 23 percent, equivalent to typical solar panels in the market. Allegedly, up to eight of these flexible collectors can be combined in a single system.

As of now, the new flexible solar panels are not available individually. Zendure sells them as a pack of four, accompanied by an 800-watt inverter (HMS-800-2T), two 2-meter solar connection cables, a power cable, and 24 metal cable ties for installation, all for a Black Friday special price of 600 Euros. The regular price for this set is 800 Euros. Whether these panels will be available individually in the future remains unknown.
