YouTube Music will tag songs created or significantly altered by generative AI with a Made with AI label on the player page.
Tap the label to see details. YouTube uses its detection tools and partners in the music industry to decide when to apply it.
Publishers can optionally state if a track is fully or partially AI-generated, but the disclosure is not required for every release.
The labels start rolling out on YouTube Music today and will reach the main YouTube app next; expect refinements over time.
