Sony has confirmed the PS Plus November 2026 free games: Dead Island 2, Monster Train 2 and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered. Every paid tier gets them, and you can add them to your library from Tuesday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 30. Once claimed, they stay playable as long as you keep any PS Plus membership.
Dead Island 2 and the Tomb Raider pack work on PS4 and PS5.
Monster Train 2 is PS5 only, and the best reviewed of the three.
October's games can still be claimed until Nov. 2.
Extra and Premium members should also mark Nov. 17. That's when 11 Game Catalog titles leave, including Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, just two days before Grand Theft Auto VI launches. If you're partway through either game, finish it or buy a copy before then.
The PS Plus November 2026 free games are Dead Island 2, Monster Train 2 and Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, and you can add all three to your library from Tuesday, Nov. 3 until Monday, Nov. 30. Sony confirmed the lineup this week, and every paid tier gets them, including Essential, the cheapest plan.
There’s a catch if you still play on a PS4: Monster Train 2 is a PS5-only claim. And if you pay for Extra or Premium, November takes away as much as it gives, because 11 catalog games, Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 among them, leave the service on Nov. 17. Below is what each free game is, what it’s really worth, and every date you need.
01
What are the PS Plus November 2026 free games?
Three games arrive on Nov. 3, and two of them work on both consoles.
Dead Island 2 (PS5 and PS4): a first-person action RPG set in a Los Angeles overrun by the undead, which its developer nicknames “Hell-A”. You play as one of six Slayers, each with different strengths, and up to three people can team up online.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered (PS5 and PS4): three Lara Croft adventures in one package, namely The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness. You can flip between the original blocky graphics and the new remastered look at any moment.
Monster Train 2 (PS5 only): a roguelike deckbuilder, which means a card game where every run is different and you build your deck as you go. You lead an alliance of angels and demons, choose from five new clans and defend a train as it travels through Heaven, Hell and the Abyss.
That’s a gory action game, a nostalgia trip and a strategy puzzle, so most players will find at least one that sticks. Dead Island 2 is the big-budget name, the Tomb Raider pack is three full games for one claim, and Monster Train 2 is the critics’ favorite, with a Metacritic score of 87 out of 100.
02
When can you claim them, and when do they disappear?
The claim window opens on Tuesday, Nov. 3 and closes on Monday, Nov. 30. Miss it and the games are gone from the monthly lineup for good.
The Nov. 30 date is a deadline to claim, not to play. Once a game is in your library, you can keep playing it for as long as you hold any PlayStation Plus tier. If your membership lapses, you lose access to these games until you’re a member again, so claimed titles are more like a long-term loan than a purchase.
Claiming is quick. From Nov. 3, open the PlayStation Plus area on your console or in the PlayStation App, find the monthly games and add each one to your library. You don’t have to download anything straight away. Adding the game is the step that counts, and you can install it whenever you have the storage space.
03
Last call for October’s monthly games
October’s games are still free to claim until Monday, Nov. 2, one day before the new batch goes live. They are Hunt: Showdown 1896, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 and F1 25.
Plenty of members called October one of the weaker months of 2026, and it’s easy to see why. Still, a full racing game and a tense online shooter cost you nothing extra, and both sets end up in the same library. Claim them now even if you have no plans to play them this year; you can’t add them later.
04
Is Dead Island 2 really the best of the three?
It’s the biggest name, but it’s not the best value. Dead Island 2 came out in 2023 and has been discounted again and again, often to under $10, so getting it free saves you less money than the headline suggests.
The better deals are the other two. The Tomb Raider pack covers the fourth, fifth and sixth mainline games in the series, first released on PS1 and PS2, and the timing helps: a remake of the original Tomb Raider is due in early 2027, so this is a cheap way to catch up on Lara Croft’s history first. If you already own the remastered first trilogy, November lets you finish the original six-game run.
Monster Train 2 came out last year and won over critics and players alike. If you have never tried a deckbuilder, it’s an easy one to start with, and its Endless Mode keeps getting harder for as long as you can survive. Just remember it only shows up for PS5 owners.
PS Plus departures: GTA V and Red Dead leave on Nov. 17
If you pay for Extra or Premium, the bigger November news is what’s leaving. Eleven games exit the Game Catalog on Nov. 17, and two of them are Rockstar heavyweights.
Grand Theft Auto V (PS5, PS4)
Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS4)
The Talos Principle 2 (PS5)
Football Manager 26 (PS5)
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom (PS5, PS4)
Cricket 24 (PS5, PS4)
Hotshot Racing (PS4)
Yet Another Zombie Defense HD (PS4)
Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (PS4)
Rapala Fishing Pro Series (PS4)
Earth Defense Force 4.1 (PS4)
The Rockstar exits fall just two days before Grand Theft Auto VI arrives, which looks like a deliberate clearing of the decks ahead of the biggest launch of the year. If you’re halfway through the Red Dead Redemption 2 story, you have until Nov. 17 to finish it or buy your own copy. Both games have been around for years, so check for a discount before paying full price.
Sony hasn’t named November’s new Extra and Premium catalog additions yet. Those are announced separately from the monthly games and are expected later in the month.
06
What PS Plus costs now, and which tier you need
You only need Essential to claim the monthly games. Extra and Premium include them too, plus the rotating Game Catalog. These are the US prices following the price rise across all tiers in May:
Essential: $10.99 a month, $27.99 for three months or $79.99 a year
Extra: $16.99 a month, $43.99 for three months or $134.99 a year
Premium: $19.99 a month, $54.99 for three months or $159.99 a year
The yearly plans are the clear bargain; paying month by month costs far more over 12 months on every tier. Prices differ in the UK and Canada, so check the PlayStation Store in your region before you renew.
Essential also covers online multiplayer in most games, cloud storage for saves and member discounts in the store. If you play online at all, you’re probably paying for it already, which makes the three free games a bonus rather than a reason to sign up.
